President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday held talks with South African President Jacob Zuma who is on a one day working visit to Nigeria.
The South African President arrived the Presidential villa at exactly 1pm and was led into the presidential office for the talks that lasted for about one hour.
Addressing state house correspondents after the meeting, Mr Zuma said their talks centred on security of lives and property on the continent.
Mr Zuma said that it is important to align with Nigeria on certain issues that concern both countries and indeed the continent especially as President Jonathan is billed to visit South Africa very soon.
He observed that the African Union will soon be marking 50 years anniversary, and that it is important that Nigeria and South Africa need to see what to do to move the union forward.
