Jayfeel
The young lad, Jayfeel, got his first glimpse of limelight during the recently concluded Nigerian Idols show. He was among the top 5 contestant in the reality television show before he got the boot.
However, Saturday Beats gathered that a good tiding in form of a recording deal is coming his way even though he did not win the competition. Saturday Beats gathered that two big names in the industry are interested in having the youngster in their camp.
Both artistes, Banky W and Samklef have shown interest in Jayfeel as they believe he has some potential. However, he told Saturday Beats that he would rather work with Samklef instead of Banky W. He told Saturday Beats about his decision and gave reasons why he would prefer to work with Samklef.
He stated “Although Banky W is famous well connected and is every upcoming musicians dream to work with, I would choose Samklef because he is more of a brother. He is down to earth, understanding and a good motivator.”
He said Banky had earlier asked him to work with him after he was evicted from the Nigerian Idols competition when he saw how he performed at the show. “He has called like 2 or 3 times after that,” he said.
Projecting into the future in three years with both celebrities, he said, “with Samklef in the next two or three years, I see a whole nation coming to watch me perform, I would be going on tours from one country to the other. Besides, Samklef brought Wizkid to lime light with his ‘don’t dull’ song, he can simply do the same with me as I don’t believe in ready- made fame. Working with Banky-W, I would be in limelight in the next 6months because of his connection and money but that’s not all to consider in this business, we need to look at the future.”
He added that he might just be the next Wizkid because the same two people that were interested in him then are also interested in him now and the good thing is that they are both good at what they do.
