MTN Project Fame Season 6 heads to Abuja, Benin

Excitement  is  in the air in Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, and one of the nation’s historical and cultural kingdoms, Benin, as the MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 6 holds its auditions in both cities today.

The reason for the excitement is not far-fetched because just under five years, the musical reality show has produced stars, who not only performed brilliantly at the academy but have gone ahead to become household names in Africa and beyond.

Notable among these big names are the ‘kukere’ crooner, Iyanya, Chidinma, Praize, Kesse in Ghana and Musulyn in Liberia. These superstars have garnered personal accolades and awards in recognition of their extraordinary musical performances. The awards include: Headies, West Africa’s biggest music award and KORA, the continent’s biggest musical recognition award, won by Iyanya and Chidinma, respectively.

The auditions will take place simultaneously at the National Centre for Women Development, Abuja and Constantial Hotel in Benin
